Hind Traders, established in 2017 by Shri Satish Kumar, is a proprietary firm dedicated to strengthening the supply chain of the Eastern Railway. Based in the historic railway hub of Jamalpur, we bridge the gap between quality manufacturing and government procurement needs.
We pride ourselves on financial discipline, strict adherence to RDSO specifications, and a zero-tolerance policy towards non-compliance.
Hind Traders is proud to operate from Jamalpur, home to the Jamalpur Locomotive Workshop. Established on 8th February 1862, it was the first full-fledged railway workshop facility in India.
Known historically as the "Manchester of India" for its mechanical prowess, the workshop produced the first steam locomotive, the Lady Curzon, in 1899. It remains a cornerstone of Indian Railways' mechanical engineering, housing the first rolling mill and railway foundry in the country.
The Eastern Railway (ER), formed on April 14, 1952, is one of the pillars of Indian transport. We are honored to contribute to this zone, which serves the rich industrial and cultural belts of West Bengal, Bihar, and Jharkhand.
From the historic Fairley Place headquarters to the tracks of the Sahibganj Loop, our operations align with the vision of maintaining a robust and safe railway infrastructure.
